Tour description

The Swedish Naval Museum is the most visited attraction in the south of Sweden. This impressive building sits on the small island of Stumholmen and stretches out into the Baltic. Your guide will lead you through the fascinating exhibitions that in a modern way are portraying the naval history of Sweden from the 17th century up until today. The Cold War era has its own exhibition, and in the Submarine Hall, you’ll get to experience the inside of the submarine “Neptun”.

After a mandatory stop in the museums well-sorted gift shop, the captain will greet you at the pier outside the museum and take you on a 5-minute boat trip out to the tower that you passed on your way coming into the city. This fascinating, round building sitting on a rock is called “Good night”, and is a former fortification tower and lighthouse from the 18th century. On this exclusive visit, your certified World Heritage Guide will tell you all about the time when Sweden was a super-power in the Baltics, as well as “Good nights” part in defending Karlskrona from the “bad Danes”.
