Starter: Herring – traditions & taste

Herring is called “The Silver of the ocean” and is a traditional produce that is part of the Swedes everyday life as well as holiday dinners like Christmas, Easter and Midsummer.
At Blomlöfs Fish restaurant, a popular place to enjoy fish, you will be greeted by the author of the book “Herring Diplomacy”, who will take you to your “behind the scenes”-venue for this event. There, you will lear about the importance of herring through Swedish history and you´ll off course get to taste local specialties with herring as base accompanied by local beer and wine.

Main course: Wild game delicacies at Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve

Enjoyed by Royals and Heads of state, Eriksberg is a one-of-a-kind destination in Scandinavia. Inside the gates of the large wildlife sanctuary, you´ll be met by the host for a short introduction to this amazing place. You will then be served a 3-course lunch (can be less or more courses) based on produce from the premises. The restaurant, named as the best game restaurant in Sweden and included in the Wine Spectator and the Star Wine List Global, will present each course for your party. To accompany the food, there will be served 3 different wines from the restaurants impressive wine cellar.

After a stop at the farm shop where you´ll be able to buy and ship unique souvenirs and gifts, we will continue our journey to the next city Ronneby, just 20 minutes away.

Desert: Café Mandeltårtan

After starter and main course, it is now time for dessert and what better than to cherish traditional Swedish cakes & cookies? At Café Mandeltårtan, set in the beautiful Ronneby Brunns Park, the owners take much pride in their pastry and cakes, and people travel from afar to enjoy the sweets as well as the cafés lovely 19th century atmosphere.

It´s now time to get back to the pier. Transfer time is 25 minutes.
