Tour description

A foggy October morning in 1981, at the height of the Cold War, the Soviet submarine U137 ran aground on a rock in the Karlskrona archipelago. An international crisis was a fact, and for 11 days the worlds eyes were focused on this small and peaceful city. Join this exciting boat tour where a former naval officer that was in midst of the action in 1981, will tell you about the incident that shook the world.

You will be picked up by captain and guide directly on the pier, and start your adventure from there. On your way out to the site of the collision, you will learn about the Naval city of Karlskrona and how the Cold War and this particular incident affected everyone living here.
A lovely bonus is experiencing the World Heritage city of Karlskrona and many of its 17th century fortifications from the seaside.
