Tour description
Guests are transferred from Kalmar pier through the Swedish countryside to a curated outdoor setting where the celebration takes place. The drive sets the tone — rolling farmland, wooden houses, the particular quality of light that makes Swedish summer so distinctive.
On arrival, fresh flowers and greenery are waiting. Local hosts guide guests through the making of traditional floral wreaths — one of the most deeply rooted Midsummer customs in Sweden. There is no rush. The process is part of the experience, and the hosts share the folklore and meaning behind each element as it unfolds.
The maypole is then dressed and raised together — guests included. Professional local folk dancers lead the music and the iconic circle dances that have been performed at Swedish Midsummer gatherings for generations.
