Strong Presence at Seatrade Hamburg for GO Nordic and Kalmar

GO Nordic and Kalmar strengthen international cruise relationships and position southeast Sweden as a premium, small-scale destination at Seatrade Hamburg.

GO Nordic, together with representatives from Kalmar, recently participated in Seatrade Hamburg — one of the key meeting points for the European cruise industry.

The event provided a valuable platform to reconnect with existing contacts and establish new relationships with cruise lines and shore excursion partners.

Discussions confirmed a continued shift in demand towards:

• smaller, more curated experiences
• high-quality delivery over volume
• destinations offering control and flexibility

Southeast Sweden — with its one-ship-per-day approach and manageable visitor flow — was positioned as a strong alternative to more congested ports.

The meetings in Hamburg will now be followed up with concrete proposals aligned with the 2027–2028 planning cycles.
